I want to write about some of my hospital experience so I will remember this some day...I will keep adding as I think of more.
1) Just as the USA the OB nurses are amazing. These women are saints for what they do everyday.
2) I have a roommate. Thankfully, not one that just had a baby. No crying in our room, just the constant beat of PBs heart on the monitor.
3) The staff and doctors amaze me. They speak perfect English to me (I have heard very little English is spoken in public hospital), walk through the curtain, speak (from what I can tell) perfect Mandarin to my roomie, and then turn to each other and speak perfect Cantonese. Amazing.
4) They do not wear gloves while drawing blood--hello HIPAA! My doctor has been doing all my checks in a suit. So far, only the nurses have worn scrubs.
5) Pay by credit card...we had to pay by credit card before they even admitted me. They run the card for a deposit and adjust at the end. I hate to see this bill before we get reimbursed by insurance. Think of how much money this saves them on getting money upfront instead of hunting it down afterwards from those that can't pay.
