Mid-Autumn Festival...

We celebrated our first Mid-Autumn festival in Hong Kong several weeks ago.  This is one of the most important holiday's in the Chinese calendar.  Traditionally, the locals carry brightly lit lanterns (some even float in the sky), eat moon cakes made of lotus bean paste, and gather with family and friends to celebrate.  They gather to celebrate and "appreciate the moon" so most of the festivities are at night and involve lots of lighted items and decorations.  Our building had a small festival for the residents.  Craig and Kay went down to check it out.  Kay came back with all kinds of lighted toys.  She wanted Peanut Butter to "see them" so she lifted my shirt and dressed me up with everything upon her return.
