Wow! I can't believe I just typed that! Our little girl has grown up so much. We asked what she wanted to do with mommy and daddy to celebrate her birthday. She said she wanted a pizza party. Things are so different here. At home, we would have made pizza and cupcakes. Here, we let her pick out her own cupcakes and went out to Stanley for pizza. We picked Stanley because it has a great beach front area filled with restaurants. We also had to take a bus there which would allow Kay to use her favorite birthday gift- Octopus card. Children have to start paying for public transportation here at age 3. We knew Kay was going to LOVE this so we decided to wrap it up and give it as a gift. She proudly wore her wallet around her neck all day. The other hi-lights were getting her own umbrella, pom poms and dance uniform, a book from nana and pops, a mini mouse shirt (she has been asking for one for a long time now!), getting to paint her finger nails (also, something she has been asking a long time for), and getting her very own "chop" or stamp made.
