A weekend of Parties...

This was a fun party weekend! I had my friend Mandy's wedding shower on Saturday. Mandy was my freshman and sophomore year roommate in college.

I also helped Annelise celebrate their second baby at her diapers and wipes baby shower. You can see by the picture the bellies are growing! The cousins will be playing together soon!

Poor Craig did not have parties to attend. He continued to work on the built-in to try to finish it up. He also started to paint the round mirrors for the nursery.

Kick, Kick, Kick...

Last night Craig was on a work conference call while I was relaxing and reading. I pointed at my belly and Craig could see the baby moving around from the other side of the room. It is the weirdest thing to see something moving around inside you... The baby is getting strong enough to really feel kicks and see my belly move. It is very fun!

Another busy weekend...

Mom and I spent the weekend at the lake with the Good N' Plenty ladies. This is a group of five families that we have been going to the beach or mountains together forever. We had a baby shower for Shane and Melissa who are expecting at the end of May. There are already three babies there all under the age of one. It will be fun at our next gathering to have 5 babies so close together in age.

Craig and Dad made excellent progress on the built-in while we were gone. I came home to it all installed and ready to be painted. They have also installed the kitchen speakers that Craig got for his birthday. We love to cook and spend most of our time together in the kitchen. It will be fun to have some music now while we cook.

Mom and I finished the basket liners! We are now ready to move onto the next project...

I just had another doctor appointment today. Everything is measuring on track. The heart rate is down to about 140. I told my doctor how everyone keeps commenting on my belly being so small. She said not to worry. People built like me are the ones that look like they are "stealing a basketball". She said not to be surprised if at 39 weeks people are commenting about how I am only half way through my pregnancy! She also gave a word of warning that my body type is the kind that will hide a very large baby. We will see...

I have been getting more and more comments at work recently about my belly. It has been fun because all the mom's at the office are so excited. They all love that Annelise and I both are not finding out the sex of our babies. Everyone also comments about "not drinking the water" at the office!

Here is an updated belly shot. I had to retire my first pair of black pants worn in the belly shots. I think I am going to need to retire my shirts soon too!

A Home Improvement Weekend...

Well, as my friend Carrie put it...soon there will be a 3rd "Home Improvement Guru added to the Hardin Family". We had a busy weekend around the house. It is amazing what you can get done in a few days with some help!

Mom and I have finished the curtains for the baby room and started on the basket liners.

Dad and Craig have made a big start on the built-in for the living room.

We also had our glass door for our shower installed (finally, only a year later...) and started getting quotes for a new roof (thanks to a leak we discovered last week). Busy, busy, busy!!

21 week ultrasound

We had our 21 week ultrasound last week. Everything looked great. Craig and I are both sad that it will most likely be our last ultrasound. The tech measured all the important body parts to make sure everything looked healthy. We saw two hands, two feet, all chambers of the heart, etc. Because we do not want to know the sex of the baby she avoided that area. When she was measuring the legs and feet Craig and I kept asking her if they were longer than normal. We could tell she was trained well to not scare any parents because she kept saying "everything is within normal limits". We both laughed saying- look at us, we are not "normal" for height we wouldn't be surprised if it had long legs.

Craig and I keep catching each other call it a "she" or "he". We will stop and call each other out- "Did you just say he??". Its our own little game we have going on trying to predict the sex.
