I realized I had almost two months of cell phone pictures to get caught up on. Here goes my big picture update...
I can't remember exactly when it was, but over a month ago I put Marissa by the stairs to let her start "learning" how to go up. I have been avoiding it because I know how exciting and dangerous stairs are for a baby. But, it was time. Well, first time she made it all the way up. So much for needing to "practice". Now, we have to teach her how to come down.
I love this picture from the pumpkin farm.
The pantry entertains Marissa for so long. It is now in a constant state of disarray.
One of Craig's co-workers let us borrow a book from their daughter's childhood. It was a huge book and Kay loved reading it.
Thanks to Aunt Robin for the Halloween goody bags! The girls decorated the window and Marissa loved her new bib.
She can find anything!
The girls LOVE the piano. It is sweet to hear them giggling and playing together.
We took Kay to the state fair for the first time. The best part was watching the cloggers. My friend got us a great deal on tickets which came with some ride tickets. We were not planning on riding rides (Craig and I are not a fan of them because of safety) and the night before several people were badly injured on a ride at the fair. Kay kept asking so we compromised on riding the side about six times to use up the tickets. We thought the slide was the safest and would make her feel like she got a ride!
The girls are loving the wagon from Aunt Pat! It is making Kay lazy because she would rather ride with her sister than walk!
Kay has started dance and loving it. I realized after dressing her in her leotard on day one that she was going to have the same problem as me. we have now bought a skirt because leotards aren't long enough!
Sleepy baby...
She turned her head and her hair looked like this....
My friend has an awesome blow up jump house. She put balls in it for Marissa to play once the big kids were done. Marissa LOVED it!
Marissa never took a pacifier, but wouldn't let go of it when I was packing things up for a friend.
Best...Toy....Ever! It is a bit loud and obnoxious but both girls have LOVED it. Kay loved it for the balls. Marissa loves to lean over so her hair flies in the wind. She doesn't need balls to have a blast with it.
First NCSU basketball game. We lucked out! NCSU had a free basketball game at 5pm on a saturday on daylight savings. We had to keep the girls up late that night anyway. They had a blast. My friend Lindsay brought her little girl as well. Kay loved clapping with the cheers and signing. Marissa loved looking at the lights and kept pointing at everything.
My cleaning crew...
Poor baby... this is why we have a GI scope scheduled in early December. The baby archs her back so much and screams in pain whenever she eats...
I have lost count at how many times the girls have raced around the bottom floor of our house...
Snuggles with pillows...
I remember taking a picture to show Kay's bozo the clown hair. Not sure what to call Marissa's but it is pretty funny. Not too much hair in the front yet.
Eating is still a struggle for Marissa. Depending on the day, she will eat...
The classic childhood toilet paper picture.
Poor Marissa has been so sick this week. We have done an incredible amount of snuggles. If her fever is still here Saturday we go back to the doctor.
New favorite spot.
JAIL! haha this is how we keep Marissa from falling down the stairs. This was Craig's view when coming home from work.
We have been letting Kay play with a lot of my childhood toys. It is so strange to see how many are made in Hong Kong. Now, everything is made in China. Having lived in Hong Kong I have a hard time picturing where the manufacturing plants would be!
Fall festival at Kay and Marissa's daycare. The next week we found out they sold and had new owners. We are still waiting to see what changes will happen. We were very sad to see the old owners leave.
Marissa is not a fan of the slide. We tried.
Daddy entertaining the girls while I shopped. Shopping is not the same with a fan club, but I had a few errands that needed to get done.
