Between Homes...

I am having this strange feeling of between homes right now. Things here in the US are coming to a close, but we haven’t quite made it to our new one yet. I am quitting work next week so I will have some time to focus on things around the house (I don’t even want to think about how many tears that will bring!) Things are a mess, there are piles of things to pack everywhere, and my to-do list (or should I say listssss) are growing longer by the minute. I wake up in the middle of the night almost every night and think of something new that needs to be added. I am trying to eat all of my favorite things as often as possible in the next few weeks and doing as many things around the area that I love. We are trying to see all friends and family in a very short window of time and through it all keep our sanity :) Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive!
I am starting to join various mom/women groups for Hong Kong so I can have a few connections once I get there. Our paperwork is getting collected (medical records, passports, visas etc.) We are going to final doctor appointments for each of us. We still don’t have airline tickets or a place to live (details- right??) Kay is now a proud passport owner. We have our cultural training in a few weeks. I am really looking forward to this as it should help us have a good understanding on how we can get the most out of our experience!

I went with a friend to the airport observatory playground. It was really cool to see the planes fly by so close. I was able to talk with Kay some about how we would be flying on a plane soon. Driving through the airport made me feel all kinds of emotions!
