Craig, myself, and my Lindsay had the pleasure of hosting a baby shower for one of my best friends and her husband a few weeks ago. The best part of the weekend was having a reunion with a lot of my college roommates. Kay and her friend Addaline had a blast together. Laurel so badly wanted to be in the mix and in a few more months she will be able to keep up. Kay loved baby Benton. She kept wanting to peek in his car seat and watch him. We (Craig) smoked BBQ for everyone and lots of yummy sides. The saddest part was having to say goodbye to everyone when the weekend ended!

More Mother's Day Photos
Here are some more photos from our mother's day weekend. I love the pictures of Charlie and Kay letting go of the balloon. No, my brother and I did not mean to get the same car. I can hear him now saying "stop copying me!" hahaha. When our car was totaled we had only a few days to buy a new one. Being that Craig and I are both very tall, still have a need for car seats, and only buy used cars our choices were pretty limited. We feel very fortunate that we again (yes, this is our second time in a year) were able to get a car in good shape. I will forever have a special spot in my heart for my volvo wagon, but for now, I have joined the land of the mini van (that happens to be the same color as Scott's). Once I got over the "driving a school bus feeling" I can say I do love the sliding doors.

Camping at the Beach
We went camping at the beach with the Anna, AW, Laurel, Hannah, Jimmy, Sarah Bess, and Davis. The kids loved being able to walk between campsites and seeing everyone. The weather was great and only rained on us when we were fast asleep in our tents. Once again, Kay was a trooper and took naps and slept in the tent without any complaints. She is getting to be such a good traveler. We had yummy camp food and enjoyed meals together with our friends. The trip was a success and we are already making plans to go again. Kay loved the water and was not nervous about it at all. She wanted to go right up to the waves and jump in them. We brought the wagon to help carry all the stuff to the beach. Kay was packed in and loved it!
Kay loved when Craig and I would roll our windows down in the car. She would laugh in excitement whenever the wind hit her hair.
We did have to take Kay to the doctor on Monday when we returned. She tripped on a tree root while we were loading the car to come home and fell. She was carrying her sippy cup which smashed into her nose. Poor thing had the biggest bloody nose. It kept bleeding off and on for over a day so I thought it would be worth having it checked out. Everything looked ok so we will just mark it down as her first bloody nose (thankfully not broken nose!) Now, the adults just have to recover from the incredible amount of itchy chigger bites we got sitting around the camp fire
Mother's Day & Natalie's Birthday
We had a nice weekend celebrating Mother's day. Our town was having a festival downtown so we walked from our house to enjoy the festivities. We then helped celebrate Natalie's birthday later that afternoon and we enjoyed breakfast at the Farmers Market on Sunday! Kay started out licking the frosting off the cupcake with one finger and ended the evening with shoving it in. The girls both got baths immediately after cake because they were covered. Kay gave Natalie a baby stroller for her birthday (just like the one Natalie and Charlie got her for Christmas). It is one of Kay's favorite toys so when Natalie opened it Kay quickly screamed "stroller" and took it from Natalie. The kids also enjoyed releasing balloons at the very end. We babysat Molly at our house for Scott and Marcia. Kay once again loved having a dog in the house. She kept wanting to put Molly's collar on and walk her around the house.
