Halloween...

Our wonderful friends organized a Halloween gathering for us to say goodbye one last time. Because we did not think we were going to be here, we had not planned anything! Thanks everyone for the great dinner and letting us borrow costumes! Kay really enjoyed going door to door and saying trick or treat. Her favorite house was Todd and Carla (our backdoor neighbors).

Goodbye Bakers!

We were fortunate to get to see Scott and Marcia one more time before moving away. Our trip got bumped a little so we got to celebrate GG’s 85th birthday all together. We took her out to dinner for pizza. It was a bit of a circus with three little ones all tired. We had the kids decorate the cake to buy time. Little did we know the icing was hard so the cake ended up being a masterpiece. We left a BIG tip after kay spilled water everywhere and three kids smashed cake. We survived and had a few good laughs!

Scott ran a half marathon Saturday morning. It was fun to all get to cheer him on together!

We also made sure to get one more four generation picture. Not sure how long it will be before we get another one.

Goodbye Nana & Pops...

I am way behind so here it goes...

Nana and Pops came to visit us to say goodbye. We felt very fortunate they flew in just in time to see us one last time. Kay got lots of snuggles, hugs and kisses.

We made it to Hong Kong

Well, we made it! We are officially in our new home. I will post pictures from the trip and our temporary flat later. Thanks for the prayers and thoughts over the long flight.

The Trend Setter Continued...

If you have ever asked yourself... "What do you get when a two year old wants to pick out her own pjs and wear shorts when it is too cold?"

Here is your answer...

...yes... I do buy matching pajama sets for our child....

Our daughter... the Fashionista...

Kay is becoming a little trendsetter. She is getting to be very opinionated on what she wears each day. This is becoming more and more of a challenge as it is harder and harder to find things to fit her. There are a lot of "no" said when getting dressed. We eventually find a happy middle ground where we are both ok with what she is wearing. Check out what she wore out to dinner with our friends... Swim goggles help the pizza go down...

Kay is also very observant. I received a gift of a new purse. This purse is fabulous! As soon as I put it on to wear out the door for the first time Kay says "new purse mommy". The even better part is both purses are about the same size and silver in color! I laughed so hard because myself and Craig in general do not notice things like that. Craig may not have noticed it himself if I was not so excited when I unwrapped it!

Saying Goodbye...

We have been busy trying to say goodbye to everyone. I have been terrible about remembering my camera. I don't have pictures of really any of events!

Kay and her Laurel (and their parents) had a fun dinner out together. Anyone else agree they are a little young for cell phones!

We have been having a lot of playdates recently with Cecelia. Kay is getting attached to her friends now. I think it she will miss them (as will I)! Kay shared all her toys with Cecelia. As you can see, she was thrilled to have so many toys thrown on top of her...

I had my last week at work. The girls I work with all made a yummy pot luck lunch. I will miss these ladies so much! I told them I am going to have to figure out how I can Skype in at lunch hour from Hong Kong!

We also had a going away party with our closest friends and co-workers Saturday. It was a house full of kids and adults, but I loved every minute of it. It was nice to see everyone one last time. Craig made his famous flower pot smoker bar-b-que and we had a feast! I made the mistake of telling Kay earlier in the week we were having a party on Saturday. I heard "have party" over and over again! After it was over I have been hearing "party all done" over and over. I think she wants another one!

A few weeks ago my brother and his family came up to visit and say goodbye. Unfortunately, when they were here Craig had to fly out to Europe for a short business trip. It was nice to spend at least one day all together one last time.
